This post is all about how an alkaline foot bath can help detoxify your body!

Hi there, my Sunday lovers! Welcome to part two of our Sunday Ritual Series! 💕

I hope you enjoyed last weeks’ ritual and if you’re new to the community, a warm welcome to your new favorite cozy corner on the internet! 🤗

If you’ve had your fair share of busyness this week and are ready to recharge your batteries – say no more! 🥳 I got you covered.

This weeks’ ritual is all about some well deserved wellness for your feet – an alkaline foot bath!

We all need a little bit more of that in our lives, don’t we? 🛁🧼

I am super excited about todays’ topic, as it not only has a calming and relaxing effect on our mind, it actually also has a positive effect on our health!

Let’s talk feet!

Todays’ Sunday Ritual is about a very underestimated body part, which sometimes we tend to neglect in the stress of everyday life. We are talking about our beautiful feet! 👣

If you think about it, our feet are incredibly impressive! They carry the weight of our bodies.

They have brought us to aaallll the amazing places around the world 🗺️ and they brought us to where we are today in our lives. Our feet enable us to travel, to see our family and friends, to go to work, work out and so much more!

But if we’re being honest – do we ever really appreciate the accomplishment of our feet?

Wild guess – probably not enough.

Let’s change that NOW and get inspired by these ingenious body parts of ours!

How we’re gonna do that?

Well, friends, we are going to take a soothing alkaline footbath! And the best part yet?

Whilst we are putting our feet in the bath and starting to calm down, our feet will actually work their magic to support us in detoxing our bodies!

Did you know that our feet are super useful when it comes to neutralizing and detoxing our bodies?

Our feet have approximately 90.000 perspiratory glands at the sole of our feet which are not only there to divert sweat but also to help cleanse our bodies from toxins and unwanted substances.

This is also why our feet are sometimes referred to as our “second kidneys”.

An alkaline footbath can support foot struggles such as intensified hard skin, heel spur or athlete’s foot.

Get ready for these amazing benefits when incorporating the alkaline footbath into your routines ✅

  • Clean feet
  • Healthy feet
  • Making use of the cleansing effects
  • Strengthen and preserving mobility
  • Supports the skin in its excretory function
  • Relieves the metabolism
  • Preventing foot complaints
  • Keeping feet beautiful

The recipe for an alkaline footbath

Todays’ Sunday Ritual will help you detox your body while you are not doing anything! Ain’t that great?

We will take care of our feet and give ourselves some time to relax.

All you need for today is the following ✔️

Now prepare a cozy spot for you to sit still for at least 30 minutes. You should have all of your essentials ready to grab once your feet are in the tub.

Fill your tub with warm water and add some bath salt or AlkaBath to it. If you want, you can also add a few drops of Rosemary Oil (or similar) to the water.

Prepare some hot water in the kettle. You might need it once the water in the tub starts to cool down. You can then just add a bit of hot water to the tub, so your feet stay warm!

Once everything is prepared, put your feet in the tub.

You might set a timer to at least 30 minutes, so the alkaline footbath can do its magic.

While you are sitting there in stillness enjoying your footbath, you can practice your weekly Sunday Reflection. 💫

Sunday Reflection

You are hopefully already in a calm state of mind by now and enjoy the amazing feeling of a warm footbath. 🦶

To let the past week go and get ready for the next week, you can use the time for your Sunday reflection.

Grab your journal and note down your thoughts on the following journaling prompts ✒️

  • How do I feel right now on a scale from 1 to 5 with 5 being “amazing” and 1 being „not so great“?
  • What went well this week?
  • What could have been better?
  • What can I let got from this week to make space for more supporting thoughts?
  • What’s on my to-do list for next week? Any specific goals I want to reach?
  • What am I grateful for today?

I also got a little quote prepared for you, cheeeesy, but we’re in our Sunday mood, right?

And on sundays, eeeverything is allowed!

“The human foot is a masterpiece of engineering and a work of art.” Leonardo da Vinci

Amen to that! 🙏

Now enjoy your 30 minutes (or more) of Spa Treatment in your cozy home and refuel energy levels for whatever is up next week! 🤗

They are in fact a work of art and should get our attention as often as possible! You can do an alkaline footbath once or twice a week.

It’s a great way to actually calm down as it forces you to sit still for at least 30 minutes.

You can use that time to reflect, meditate, read or just sit in stillness and enjoy your self-care time.

I hope you are having a blast today and appreciate your beautiful feet to the fullest!

I can’t wait to hear how your Sunday Rituals are working for you so far!! 🙂

As always, I’m rooting for you 🔥and I am already super excited for next weeks’ ritual!

Until then I hope you have an amazing time!

Talk to you soon,

Noni ❣️
